Description

The Posbank is beautiful, but very busy. It is also worth visiting another area. This walk takes you through the Imbosch, the 'bee forest'. You are in the middle of the forests of the Veluwe. You can still clearly see how the enclave was built, on the ramparts and canals that are still recognizable in the landscape. The Imboschbeek was important because of its water supply. From this stream, many springs were constructed: man-made canals. Signaal Imbosch is a 110-meter-high hill, the highest point of the Veluwe. In various places in the area, concrete bases of German radio direction finding stations still remain. Teerose is the name of the three of these direction finding stations from the Second World War: Teerose I, II and III.
