Tour of Schoonhoven and Noordeloos

Along the Lek you cycle through a typical Dutch landscape of wide views, high skies and lots of water. You will also find beautiful old towns such as Schoonhoven and Noordeloos. Nice and varied! From Huis Het Bosch you cycle on a car-free road through the polder. Along the road you see ditches, pollard willows and monumental old farms. What is immediately noticeable: the silence in this area! You come through the picturesque Noordeloos, further on Nieuwkerk is on the program. Here you cross the Lek with a ferry, nice and nostalgic. The old center of Zilverstad Schoonhoven is a picture. Note the Veerpoort from 1601! It is beautiful to cycle along the Lekdijk. You look out over the rippling river and grassy floodplains, on the other side are beautiful farms, meadows and orchards.
