Your route starts at Chr. Vakantiepark Beloofde Land, with a cup of coffee at Brasserie Dolce Vita. You will make a nice round through the forest near Voorthuizen. The Wilbrinkbos has a rich history due to its location on an old Hessian road: the medieval trade route from Amersfoort to Deventer. It was purchased around 1900 by GJ Wilbrink, who has been committed to nature conservation in this area for many years. The sand bank with the worn paths nicely show the difference in height. On the sand ridge you will find an old beech, called'The Twelve Apostles\\\' because it consists of many different trunks. It is probably an old coppice stove. These trees were cut down just above the ground every few years so that they could grow again, to provide wood again.
Tour tip; Hiking with kids! Routes up to 5 km are ideal
