Round trip from Stift Weerselo

Your route starts at De Stiftsjuffer. Het Stift near Weerselo is a monastery where unmarried noble ladies were provided with a good education from the fourteenth century onwards. Be sure to visit the Stiftskerk, which was completely rebuilt in 1600 after a fire. The atmospheric Stiftsplein with its majestic oaks and beautiful buildings is also worth a visit. At the place where the Wenshofsteeg and Kapelweg meet you will find a Maria chapel, a beautiful spot. All kinds of streams flow through this rural area. A little further on you will discover, for example, the Stootmansbeek and the Eschmedenbeek. If you have walked to Noordijk via the Zomerdijk, you will soon cross the Middensloot, to follow the Stiftsbeek for a while. A final crossing over the Middensloot brings you back to the start.
