Tour of Bergen op Zoom and Roosendaal

Your route starts at Camping Getaway. First you cycle along the Markiezaatsmeer and the Binnenschelde. Take a break at the visitor center De Kraaijenberg! Then you cycle through Bergen op Zoom, a city with a rich history. You pass through the beautiful city park Kijk in de Pot. You will also see many beautiful old buildings, such as the fourteenth-century Gevangenpoort, the oldest building in the city. Fort De Roovere is a redoubt that was built in 1628 on a high sand ridge. You cycle through the polders with their creeks and streams to Roosendaal. Here you cycle through the beautifully landscaped, elongated Watermolenbeekpark. Further on you cycle past the Visdonk estate, a varied area with old lanes, forest and heathland. At the Environmental Education Center Watermolenbeek (MEC) you will learn everything about this special environment.
