Your route starts at Museum farm Mariahoeve. From here you make a nice round through the more than 1200 year old hamlet of Telgt. The Nijkerkerweg runs over a cover sand ridge, people have lived here for a very long time. Some farms there are at least seven centuries old, although they looked different then. Telg means twig, branch or shoot. The't\\\' at the end indicates a settlement on somewhat higher grounds, forested with oaks. Developments of the semi-open forest area lead to small agricultural businesses, the so-called camp landscape where each farmer had his own field or camp. The area slopes slightly from the coast. This area therefore provided very nice hay and meadows, fields, vegetable gardens and orchards that you could all create close to the farm.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
