This cycle route takes you through the Garden of Limburg. First, you explore the Beegderheide, which consists of deciduous and coniferous forests, heathland and sand drifts. Further on, you cycle along the banks of the Lange Vlieter, a lake that was created by gravel extraction. Via Grathem, you cycle to the Banen nature reserve. What makes this fen unique is that it has never been reclaimed or drained. At Mildershoof, you can get off and visit the farm shop or have a drink on a terrace. The next stop on your route is Heythuysen. From this pleasant village, you cycle straight into the Leudal. You cycle through beautiful and wonderfully quiet forests here, and you also cross the Leubeek where you can admire the ruins of the thirteenth-century Sint-Elisabethsmolen. In Horn, you will pass two nineteenth-century corn mills.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
