Ommen, Overijssel, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 489301
Provided by: Groots Genieten
Your route starts at the beautiful Eerde estate and castle. The castle first appears in writing in the thirteenth century, but at that time it was still known as the House of Eerde. The castle took its current shape around 1715. In the same century, a park was built around the castle in the popular English landscape style. You also take a beautiful trip through the romantic Reggedal. The Regge can meander again, a beautiful sight! From here you cycle to the Lemelerberg, a moraine of more than 60 meters high with drifting sand areas, forests and heathlands. The residents of Giethmen used to walk to church in Ommen twice a Sunday over the Giethemer Kerkpad with its beautiful drawbridge.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
