Tour of Giersbergen

Your route starts at Hundred BunderBos. From here you walk to Giersbergen, an authentic Brabant hamlet that mainly consists of long-fronted farms. It is beautifully situated on the edge of the Loonse and Drunense Duinen, a national park. Thanks to the many beautiful thatched farmhouses, you get the feeling that time has stood still. There are several terraces to take a break and soak up the atmosphere. The history of the hamlet dates back to the thirteenth century. In the 1960s there was a lot of traffic from soldiers and campers, the army practiced in the dunes and you were still allowed to camp there at that time. That changed when the area was declared De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park!
