Description
On the banks of the Randmeer Het Nijkerkernauw you will find a beautiful green area that is part of Zeewolde. Here you can enjoy a nice walk in peace. You may meet other hikers or cyclists along the way, but otherwise the birdsong and the rustling wind are probably all you hear here.
Along the coast and through the forest
Zeewolde is located about three meters below sea level, on the banks of the Veluwerandmeren. Along the edge of the lakes you will find a beautiful long coastline. On these beaches you can sit with a view over the water. On a warm day it is wonderful to take a dip in one of the border lakes and when it is a bit cooler you can get a breath of fresh air here. A little further on, this route takes you through the Hulkesteinse Bos, a nature reserve of approximately 1000 hectares. This forest was created after the reclamation of Flevoland.
