Hilly Country Route

The route takes you through the Hellegatbos and is protected in Europe as part of the Natura 2000 area West-Vlaams Heuvelland. This area is highly recommended for a brisk walk. Don't be misled by its name: this forest will pleasantly surprise you with its natural beauty, diversity and beautiful views. As you descend from the top of the slope, the Hellegatbos reveals an increasingly varied biotope. Continue walking along Panorama Douvevallei. The interplay of forest, flowery meadows and fields is a feast for the eyes. At the end of this nature walk, near the restaurant't Molenhof and the cable car of the Rodeberg, you will come across the Lijstermolen.
