Kids adventure trail

You can take a quiet walk with the kids in the Kwintelooijen nature reserve. Sand was still excavated here in the 1970s. Various soil layers were exposed in which bones and tools were found that contributed to scientific knowledge about the ice ages. Now you walk on wide paths through an open area of heathland and grasslands. NB; the paths can sometimes be very muddy. Deciduous trees such as pedunculate oak and silver birch grow there, and you also see conifers such as Scots pine and Douglas fir. You will pass the famous Staircase of Kwintelooijen. The 169 steps take you to a unique viewpoint. Further on you cross a small pond via a bridge and walk back through the forest to the starting point. At House of Bird Kwintelooijen you can enjoy something tasty with the kids.
