Description
The Gendarmenpad (Gendarmstien in Danish) today runs from the Danish-German border at Padborg past Kollund, Grasten, Broagerland and Vemmingbund, past Dybbol and on to Sonderborg and Horuphav on the island of Als. Most of the road follows the coast and passes through a varied landscape with forests, peatlands and meadows. The route is indicated by signs and is 84 kilometers long.
