Cycling between Hanseatic cities Zutphen and Deventer

Deventer and Zutphen are two historic Hanseatic cities along the IJssel. This route takes you through the area along the IJssel between these cities. Cycle past meadows, fields and forests on the floodplains of the IJssel and enjoy the view over the river along the way. The first part of the route takes you through Twello. On the banks of the IJssel you cross the river to Gorssel with the ferry. Then explore the historic city center of Zutphen. You cycle through the wooded area of Gorssel to Deventer. Along the way you will pass two old mills: De Wilpermolen and Molen Geertruida Cornelia.
