Cycling between Hanseatic cities Zutphen and Deventer

Deventer and Zutphen are two historic Hanseatic cities along the IJssel. This route takes you through the area along the IJssel between these cities. Cycle past meadows, fields and forests on the floodplains of the IJssel and enjoy the view over the river along the way. The first part of the route takes you through Twello. On the banks of the IJssel you cross the river with the ferry to Gorssel. Then explore the historic city center of Zutphen. You continue to Deventer through the wooded area of Gorssel. Along the way you will pass two old windmills: De Wilpermolen and Molen Geertruida Cornelia.
