Kampina and Boxtel Castle Route

Your route starts at Boutique Hotel Bed&Bos. Here you are immediately in the middle of nature! Nearby you will discover the Scheeken, a nature reserve that consists of four hundred hectares of moist deciduous forests, swamp forests, meadows and poplar landscapes. The name is a combination of the words schei and oak; Plot boundaries used to be marked by dividing trees, especially oaks. At Boxtel you will pass Stapelen Castle. The castle originally dates from the thirteenth century, but was extensively renovated in the nineteenth century. In the village of Esch you will see some characteristic long-fronted farms. A little further on you will pass Nemerlaer Castle, which was built in the thirteenth century. You drive there beautifully via an avenue through deciduous forest. You drive back through the heathland and forests of De Kampina.
