Tour of Nuenens Broek and Eckartdal Estate

Your route starts at Boutique Hotel Bed&Bos. Along the Dommel you drive through an authentic small-scale landscape. You will see wet and flowery grasslands, and willows, poplars and birches also grow here. Near the river you can also cycle through the beautiful Eckartdal Estate. Here you see an eighteenth-century castle farm. Further on you cycle through Nuenens Broek. In the spring, Nuenens Broek is at its most beautiful, when celandine, wood anemone and cuckoo flower bloom here. Vincent van Gogh regularly drew and walked here. He created almost a quarter of his total oeuvre in Nuenen. You will also pass the De Roosdonck windmill, next door was the house where the family lived that was immortalized in his first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters. You cycle back via Son en Breugen.
