Tour of Berendonck and Wijchens Ven

Your route starts at Tea House and Farm Games De Eikenhorst. Enjoy a cup of coffee with something tasty before putting on your walking shoes. Between Wijchen and Overasselt you will enjoy a varied landscape. From your starting point you walk around Berendonck, a recreational lake that was created in 1976. You have a beautiful view of the trees and farms. Further on you make a loop around the Wijchens Ven: the remains of a centuries-old river arm. It forms a beautiful whole together with the nearby Hatertse and Overasseltse Vennen, a slightly undulating nature reserve that consists of a mosaic of coniferous forest, fens and river dunes. Really enjoy it here. Back at your starting point you can still feast on regional products. That goes down well after such a walk!
