Your route soon leads to Netersel, one of the so-called Eight Beatitudes. In the past they were called'the selligheden\\\', or'the beatitudes\\\'. Dutch soldiers who were stationed here during the Belgian Revolution scornfully called the villages 'the wretchedness' - these were difficult times here. Further on is the new St. Pancratius Church, from 1924.
