Walking through the beautiful Oisterwijkse Bossen

The Boscafé is an ideal starting point for a walk through the Oisterwijkse Bossen & Vennen, a nature reserve that is part of Het Groene Woud. There used to be extensive heathlands with various fens here. From 1801 onwards more and more trees were planted. At the beginning of the twentieth century there were plans to subdivide the area, but the Association of Natural Monuments put a stop to this. This ensured that the trees and fens were preserved. During your walk you will enjoy coniferous and deciduous forests, small heathlands and the fresh air. Make sure you wear good shoes, because the path can be damp in some parts of the route. There are also several fens along the route, such as the Kolkven. In between you can take a break at Boshuis Venkraai.
