Historical city walk through Schagen

The cozy Schagen is ideal for a nice city walk. In the town you will encounter numerous historic buildings, but also the rebuilt Schagen Castle. During the route you will pass the Vreeburg Farm and Carriage Museum, where you will get an idea of life in Schagen around 1900. In the center of Schagen you can admire several beautiful seventeenth-century buildings, including on the Loet and on the Market. During the route you will also pass the Battle of the Somme Museum, located in the eastern castle tower of Schagen: the first and only museum in the Netherlands about the First World War.
