Description
Farm Apartments & Camping 't Katreel is the starting point for this route to the Needse Achterveld. The first meters you walk your legs loose on a car-free road. You have a beautiful view over grasslands and fields. From junction V26 you enter the Needse Achterveld. This is still a relatively original area: because it was always too humid, it has never been used as agricultural land. Wet heather, wild gale, sundew and bell gentian grow there. It is nice and quiet here, so you can enjoy the natural beauty at your leisure. After a while you cross the Buurser Beek and enter 't Vleer. This former swamp was reclaimed long ago and used as pastureland. It has now been redesigned as a nature reserve. You walk back to 't Katreel over quiet roads.
