Description
From Boerderijcamping De Beek you can cycle straight into the nature near Haaksbergen. For example, you drive a bit through the northern part of the Haaksbergerveen. Then you cross the Buurserbeek and cycle into the Buurserzand. From the cycle path you have a beautiful view over the vast heathland. On the right in the landscape there is another Markepaal on a bump. This marked the border between the Buurse and Haaksbergen marks. After crossing the scenic landscape you arrive at the next nature reserve: the Witte Veen. You then make a shortcut through Germany, passing the Haarmühle in the Buurserbeek valley. This watermill dates back to 1619. A nice spot to stop and enjoy the surroundings before driving to De Beek.
