You start this route in Middenbeemster. This is the oldest village of the Beemster, thanks to the many monumental buildings, it enjoys a protected village view. Cycling through the polder you will pass a number of forts from the Defense Line of Amsterdam, which was built between 1880 and 1920. First you pass the Fort on the Nekkerweg, on the Noordhollandsch Kanaal you will pass Fort on the Middenweg and the Fort on the Jisperweg. Just before Spijkerboor you cross the canal, on the other side you look out over the Wormer and Jisperveld, a wetland low moor area. In Jisp you will pass flour mill de Koker from 1866. In Purmerend you will drive past the old village center, in the polder you will see flour mill de Nachtegaal from 1704. The route ends at BRASA Beemster.
