Tour of Zwin and Cadzand

Your route starts at EuroParcs Cadzand. You first cross to the sea, wonderful! The Zwin is a slufter area, here the sea penetrates into the land. You will find an active creek system of salt marshes, mudflats, beaches and dunes, which is rare by Dutch standards. It is a well-known site of 40 million year old shark teeth. The place to try your luck! The Oudelandse Polder was originally a sandbank. Over the centuries, it has grown into a special polder landscape due to human intervention and flooding. The former Island of Cadzand is one of the oldest polder landscapes in Europe and is still recognizable as such. Cadzand-Dorp is a medieval ring village around the fourteenth-century Mariakerk. The church and the picturesque old houses are reminiscent of times gone by.
