Tour of the De Flaes lookout tower

Your route starts at Boshuys Klein Utrecht on Landgoed De Utrecht. The estate was developed as an investment in 1898 by life insurance company De Utrecht. It is now a wonderful place to walk through the vast and varied forests. This beautiful walking route takes you through Landgoed De Utrecht and to the Flaestoren lookout tower. After a cup of coffee, you walk into Landgoed De Utrecht, through forests, past vast heathland and beautiful fens such as Goorven and De Flaes. At the De Flaes fen there is a beautiful 25-metre-high lookout tower. For € 1 you get access and can enjoy a breathtaking view of the fen area. This way you can view the vulnerable nature of the fens from a safe distance.
