Tour of the De Flaes lookout tower

Your route starts at Boshuys Klein Utrecht on Landgoed De Utrecht. The estate was developed in 1898 as a financial investment by life insurance company De Utrecht. It is now wonderful to walk here through the extensive and varied forests. This beautiful walking route takes you through the De Utrecht Estate and to the Flaestoren lookout tower. After a cup of coffee, you walk into the De Utrecht Estate, through forests, past extensive heathland and beautiful fens such as the Goorven and De Flaes. At the De Flaes fen there is a beautiful lookout tower of 25 meters high. For €1 you get admission and can enjoy a breathtaking view of the fen area. This way you can view the vulnerable nature of the fens from a safe distance.
