Tour of the forests near Soest

Your route starts at Restaurant De Egelshoek. Between Soest, Bilthoven and Baarn you can cycle wonderfully through the foothills of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Here you will find extensive forests, but also stately estates and villas. You will also cycle a few kilometres over the former Grebbelinie. Many stately country houses have been built on and around the Utrechtse Heuvelrug over the centuries. Such as Pijnenburg, a white plastered country house from the seventeenth century. On the other side of the road you will see Staalwijk, a stately cross-house farm from 1834. Prins Hendriksoord is a country house from the nineteenth century. You will also pass Paleis Soestdijk, a sight that you can honour with a visit. Between junctions 87 and 82 you cycle over the Grebbeliniedijk, which has been restored to its former glory in recent years.
