You can cycle straight into the heart of Friesland from the water sports village of Akkrum! You cross the ferry Nye Skou, near Vegelinsoord. Via Oudehaske you cycle into the center of Heerenveen. You continue the road to the north, where you cycle along the water and the beautiful nature reserve De Deelen. Via Aldeboarn, known for the annual Gondola ride, you cycle back to Akkrum.
