Parkhotel Valkenburg is a special hotel. The building, designed in 1890 by architect Pierre Cuypers, has a rich history, is now a national monument and the oldest hotel in use in the Netherlands. All 82 rooms and the restaurant have been recently renovated and the hotel has a special atmosphere. Due to its beautiful location in the Heuvelland and close to Maastricht, it is the ideal base for beautiful cycling trips. Back at the hotel you can relax in the extensive wellness area. The kitchen is French oriented and when the weather is nice it is wonderful to relax on the terrace from all the impressions of the beautiful surroundings.

Sint Gerlach

The castle of Sint Gerlach was originally built as a monastery in the 12th century with the adjacent monastery church. In the 19th century, the monastery was converted into a castle.
