Description

Your route starts at Grand Café't Hoofd in Maassluis. This town was founded around 1340 as a small settlement, where people mainly lived from fishing. In the nineteenth century, Maassluis became world famous for its towage company. The activities on the water expanded to include ship salvage. Pay a visit to the National Towing Museum, which can still be found in the town! After a stopover at your starting point, you will take a nice tour through the countryside to discover regional products. Bavette Farmshop is located in a farm that has been in the family for 130 years. The fourth generation is now at the helm. Here you get meat directly from the farm. You walk back via the Wippersmolen and the Zuidvliet.
