Tour of Vessem, Best and Middelbeers

West of Eindhoven, roads and cycle paths lead you through rural Brabant. You cycle to Vessem along fields, meadows and through small plots of forest. Here you will see some beautiful long-facade farms and the Jacobus, a flour mill from 1893. In the forests of the Buikheide you can enjoy the peace and the fragrant conifers, after which you drive along the Beatrix Canal to Batadorp. This district was built in 1934 for the workers of the Bata shoe factory. The original buildings are considered a protected villagescape. Just after Best you drive past two old chapels, and at Kasteel Bijsterveld - Brasserie Jacob V you can enjoy a break in an attractive environment. In Middelbeers you cycle a short distance past the New and the Old Sint-Willibrordus Church. Finally, you pass through Netersel, one of the Eight Beatitudes.
