In and around Oirschot you will find a lot of historical heritage. This walk first takes you to the Miekoeksebrug. This bridge is named after Mie, a woman who sold cookies during the construction of the Wilhelminakanaal. On an unpaved path you walk along the meadows to Oirschot. You walk over the Stönner-Meijwaardbrug, which is named after two Dutch soldiers who died. In 1944 they fought with the Prinses Irene Brigade in this region against the Germans. Oirschot enjoys a protected village view. You will see, among other things, the Mariakerk, a small building from the twelfth century. You will also pass the sixteenth-century Sint-Petrusbasiliek. A little further on you will see the Korenaar mill from 1857. The route ends at the beautiful old Kasteel Bijsterveld - Brasserie Jacob V.
