Walking through Boxtel and along the Dommel

Boxtel is ideal for exploring on foot. You will discover a lot of cultural history there. For example, you pass Museum Vekemans, which is open at set times. In Stationsstraat you pass some beautiful old buildings. On the banks of the Dommel you will pass Stapelen Castle. This building originally dates from 1293. Since 1915, the castle has been used as a monastery by the Assumptionists. The building is not accessible, but the beautiful castle park is. Further on you walk along the edge of Boxtel where a branch of the Dommel flows. Here you have a beautiful view over the meadows. You walk back to the historic heart of Boxtel. Here you take a tour around the late medieval St. Peter's Basilica. At the old Market you can enjoy lunch at Deegeluk - Breakfast - Lunch - Drinks.
