Description
From the heart of Boxtel you will cycle through several small-scale Brabant nature reserves. First you will cycle to the Geelders, an area that is part of the Groene Woud. Here you will see coppice walls, forest and farmland. The name Geelders probably comes from'gelde\\\', which means low and wet area. Further on you will cycle on a car-free road through the Dommeldal. On the other side of this river lies the Scheeken. Here you will see a mix of swamp forests, flowery grasslands and poplars. Via Best and along the Wilhelminakanaal you will cycle to the Sint Annakapel from 1628; the building is just before junction 29. A little later you will cycle through the Mortelen, a small-scale coulisse landscape. From junction 18 you will cycle a bit through Landgoed Velder.
