Tour of nature reserves near Boxtel

From the heart of Boxtel you can take a cycle tour through some small-scale Brabant nature reserves. First you drive to the Geelders, an area that is part of the Groene Woud. Here you will see coppiced banks, forests and farmland. The name Geelders probably comes from'gelde\\\', which means low and wet area. Further on you drive on a car-free road through the Dommeldal. On the other side of this river is the Scheeken. Here you will see a mix of swamp forests, flowery grasslands and poplars. Via Best and along the Wilhelmina Canal you cycle to the Sint Annakapel from 1628; the building is located just before junction 29. A little later you drive through the Mortelen, a small-scale bocage landscape. From junction 18 you drive a bit through Landgoed Velder. The route ends at Deegeluk -Breakfast -Lunch -Drinks.
