Walking through Geldrop

Geldrop is ideal for a nice walk. From the picturesque center you first walk to the Geldropse Mill, which originally dates from the fifteenth century. In 1820 the mill was built into the wool factory. Weaver Museum Geldrop is now located in this building. The route then takes you through the Kleine Dommel valley. It is nice and quiet here to walk in the greenery. Around junction 69 you walk through Hout, a former hamlet. You can still see some old farms here. On the north side of Geldrop you walk a bit through the stream valley. Here you pass Geldrop Castle, which is surrounded by an English landscape garden. The current castle building dates from the eighteenth century. The route ends with a tasty snack at Kaffee Peijnenburg & Hotel Nijver.
