Tour of Gees Forestry and Havezathe de Klencke

Coevorden is a beautiful old town, with Coevorden Castle as the radiant center. A place with history, because the first castle stood here around 1025. Enjoy a quiet part of Drenthe between the deciduous trees of Boswachterij Gees. Because the area is slightly higher than the surrounding area, you are treated to picturesque views of the surrounding grasslands. A beautiful area! A little further on you drive through Oud-Aalden, an old esdorp that consists entirely of beautiful Saxon farms. You also cycle through Zweeloo, which served as a source of inspiration for artists such as Vincent van Gogh at the end of the nineteenth century. Then you cycle to the wooded De Klencke Estate. The current manor dates from the eighteenth century.
