This route takes you on both sides of the border through the beautiful nature of Grenspark Maas-Schwalm-Nette. This will be a day of enjoying peace, natural beauty and beautiful, charming villages.

De Roer
The Vlodroppermolen is a real attraction. This watermill dates from 1875 and is located near the place where the Rothenbach flows into the Roer. You drive past the Effelder Waldsee, a beautiful lake. From the picturesque Effeld you drive through the Helpensteiner Bachtal, Oberes Schaagbachtal and Petersholz nature reserves. This area is just as vast and varied as the name suggests.

Munningsbos
Then you drive a long way through the German Roer Valley. It is wonderfully peaceful here to cycle along the natural banks. You have beautiful views over the meadows and the rippling water. You drive back to the Dutch border via the nice Heinsberg. In the Annendaalsbos you mainly cycle between fragrant conifers. The almost adjacent Munningsbos is a former estate forest, where conifers, oaks and alders grow. What a beautiful region!
