In and around Breda it is wonderful to cycle. First you cycle through the Mastbos. In 1515 Count Hendrik III of Nassau gave the order to plant this heathland with Scots pines. The trunks were used for ship masts, the forest as a hunting ground. The route takes you further to Galder, after which you cross the river Mark. On the Strijbeekse Heide you will find a mix of conifers, fens and heath. How wonderfully quiet it is here, ideal for a day of relaxation. Via Ulvenhout you cycle into the Markdal. Just past junction 83 you cycle past the Markt in the Ginneken, one of the most atmospheric places in Breda. You then cycle out of Breda along the river Aa. The route ends at Camping Liesbos.
