Description

From Heeswijk-Dinther you can warm your legs in the Brabant countryside. You drive along quiet roads past meadows and fields, where you can clear your head and relax. Just past junction 43 you enter the Maashorst, one of the largest contiguous nature reserves in North Brabant. Here you drive through a varied landscape of coniferous forests, heathlands, drifting dunes and fens. You will also see authentic farmland with wet grasslands and hedgerows. The name refers to the period when the Maas flowed here 125,000 years ago. Further on you cycle through the Bedafse Bergen: a drifting sand ridge of 25 meters high that is planted with conifers. Back in Heeswijk-Dinther you cycle past Berne Abbey, after which you can eat a delicious meal at Next Lunch & Eetcafé.
