Enjoy cycling through Ede and the Veluwe

Ede lies on the western edge of the Veluwe. This route will take you to the charming and historic center of this town. And of course, from Ede, you'll take a long loop through the vast natural beauty of the Veluwe.

Plank Wambuis
The Veluwe region boasts many different nature reserves, such as the coniferous forests and heathlands of Planken Wambuis. Part of this nature reserve consists of woodland that has been allowed to develop naturally. The Luntersche Buurtbosch near Lunteren was created around 1890 by notary Van den Ham. West of Renkum, you'll drive through a centuries-old, rolling stream valley. Once home to several watermills, now only bicycle wheels turn here.

Ede
In the center of Ede, you'll pass the beautiful, monumental station building of Ede Centrum, dating from 1902. You'll also pass the Concordia, a grain mill dating from 1865. Next to the grain mill is a former hall-house farm from the second half of the nineteenth century. Just outside Ede is the Doesburgermolen, a grain mill dating from 1620.
