Walk Coevorden and De Bente

From Hotel Restaurant Talens you can take a walk through Coevorden and the countryside. As you walk along the Wilhelminasingel, you pass some special buildings, such as the neo-Gothic Sint-Willibrordus Church. Further on you look out over part of the old city moat. You can walk into the countryside via the Looweg. Here you immediately see some thatched farms. The route leads you over a leafy and car-free road to De Bente, a flour mill from 1814. Back in Coevorden you walk through the Van Heutszpark, which was opened in 1907. You pass a monumental water tower from 1914, in the Molenstraat you will see a row of former garrison buildings from 1765 on your right. After such a beautiful walk you must have been hungry.
