Walking along the beach and through Voornes Duin

From Strand- en Eetcafé Boelies you can take a nice walk through the natural surroundings. First you walk a bit along the beach. When the weather is nice, you can take off your shoes and paddle in the surf. From the beach you have a beautiful view of the North Sea. Looking back, you see the Haringvlietdam, the sixth part of the Delta Works. This dam was built from 1958 to 1970. Then you enter Voornes Duinen. Thick old oaks and many plant species grow here. It sometimes seems as if you are walking through a primeval forest here. Just before junction 85 you can walk to a viewpoint. From here you look out over the Quackjeswater, a dune lake. Back at Boelies it's time for a nice meal or drink.
