The flower walk is an experience. The route, over paved paths, takes you past the colorful bulb fields with their straight ditches and high dune roads, alternating with green avenues and a beautiful old estate.

Museum De Zwarte Tulp in Lisse is all about flower bulbs. Here you will learn everything about the Flower Bulb Region through interactive exhibitions for young and old. You will learn about the history of the area up to 500 years ago, the work on the land 100 years ago and now and the science behind the development of new tulip varieties. Important events from the history of the bulbous plants are told in an interesting way in this museum. Think of the arrival of the tulip in Europe, the tulip madness in the 17th century and the story of the black tulip. You can also view works of art in which flowers play a major role. The museum is located in the heart of the flower bulb region in a building that once served as a bulb shed. In the museum garden you can view various flowering bulbous plants every spring, but you will also find flower fields in all colors in the area.
