The vast forests in the area around Ommen

Your route starts at Hotel-Café-Restaurant-Snackbar Beerzeveld. The Vechtdal consists of beautiful green nature reserves through which the Vecht flows. During this route you cycle through the vast forests around Ommen. Along the way you visit various places such as Den Ham and Vroomshoop and you cross the Vecht no less than twice. You pass close to the Junner Koeland, an area of 100 hectares where approximately 60 cows live. Be sure to get off here! The grazing by the cows is not sufficient here and that is why there are regularly about 15 Icelandic horses to be found. A beautiful scene to see. A little further on you will find a manually operated ferry at Rheeze, nice! Rheeze and Ommen are nice places if you want to interrupt the route.
