Tour of the Bulb Region and the dunes of Noordwijkerhout

Noordwijkerhout is a pleasant town. Here you can see the White Church from 1300. Just outside Noordwijkerhout you will pass Lake Como, as the recreation area Oosterduinse Meer is called by the locals. Further to the west you cycle through the forests of the Hollands Duin. In the background you can occasionally hear the surf of the North Sea, a wonderful sound. In the Bollenstreek it sometimes feels like you are cycling through a painting. Spring is heralded here with the flowering of crocuses, after which tulips, daffodils and hyacinths give the area a beautiful hue. Gladioli, dahlias and carnations ensure a colourful late summer. The route also passes the Keukenhof.
