Nature route through the Vechtdal

You cycle along the edge of the Lemelerberg to Giethmen. Here you pick up the old path along which churchgoers used to walk back and forth to Ommen. The charming little drawbridge over the Regge is an icon. In the vast forests of the Ommen Forest Reserve, you enjoy the unparalleled silence. After cycling through the centuries-old hamlet of Junne and the beautiful Overijssel Vechtdal, you pass through the Bentinckbos. A little later, you cycle through Rheeze, one of the most beautiful villages in Overijssel. Several beautiful monumental farmhouses stand on the Brink. You cross the Vecht again, after which you cycle through the Beerzerveld. Between junction 88 and 5, you explore the Eerder Achterbroek: a centuries-old landscape of hay meadows, hedgerows, and groves.
