Cycling tour through the beautiful Berkelland

The largest town on your route is Borculo. Prince William V of Orange-Nassau purchased the Lordship of Borculo in 1777. That's why King Willem-Alexander still bears the title "Lord of Borculo." Just below the village of Neede, you'll pass Huize de Kamp, the current building dating from 1636. The route also takes you through the village of Haarlo, where the octagonal monumental church is called De Kluntjespot (sugar bowl) by the residents. The Wolink is a typical Achterhoek camp landscape with an old farmstead at its heart. In Geesteren, take a look at the Reformed Church, which originally dates back to the eleventh century!
