You will find plenty of natural beauty around Helmond. You drive through small-scale nature reserves, the Strabrechtse Heide and through old picturesque hamlets.

Strabrechtse Heide
At De Strabrechtse Hoeve you can have a drink and something to eat on the terrace, so that you can continue your journey with enough energy. You cycle onto the Strabrechtse Heide, a vast plain of shrub and heather. You have beautiful views, especially when the heather is in bloom. You may encounter the shepherd with his flock of Kempense Heath sheep while cycling. In Lierop you will pass the striking Holy Name Jesus Church from 1892.

The Pants
Just outside Helmond you drive through the Bundertjes and the Warande, two small-scale nature reserves with moist forests, meadows and bushes. You then pass through Stiphout, a Helmond neighborhood where you will find a friendly village atmosphere. You drive back into the rural area, where you drive through Het Broek, which enjoys a protected village view because of its characteristic long-facade farms. Finally, you pass through the forests of the adjacent Luchense Heide and Molenheide.
