Relaxed along the Rhine

It is wonderful to pedal along the grassy floodplains of the Rhine, while enjoying a wide view. Just before you cross the river in Arnhem, you drive along the edges of Meinerswijk, a beautiful floodplain area that has been developed in recent years. Here you see an interesting contrast between river nature and the skyline of Arnhem. At Oosterbeek you drive through stately deciduous forests. In this painting and villa village, more than one percent of the houses are worth more than a million euros. From the moraines at Doorwerth you have a beautiful panorama over the Rhine and Betuwe. Closer to the river you cycle along the bird-rich marshes and grasslands.
