Discover the Groningen polder

Soon after boarding you cycle through the Kropswolder Buitenpolder. From the path you look out over open water, reed marshes and wet grasslands. A wonderful view to refresh yourself with. A little later you drive into the Westerbroekstermadepolder, a name that will earn you a lot of points in Scrabble. You drive through characteristic old villages such as Engelbert and Harkstede, where a tower dating from the thirteenth century stands next to the seventeenth-century Reformed Church. At the end of the route you drive back to the cozy Camping Meerwijck. Time for a chair, book and drink! On your route you will see some characteristic buildings. For example, the former railway building is located on the Woldjerspoorweg in Engelbert. You will also pass mills such as the Stel's Meuln, a corn mill from 1851. Grain was also ground in the Entreprise from 1906.
