Your route starts at Camperplaats Sploder Stea. The Sallandse Heuvelrug is clearly visible from a distance. It is an unmissable moraine of around 70 meters high. The landscape on this dry sand ridge is so different in terms of flora and fauna that you almost feel like you are in another country. By bike you can reach the Sallandse Heuvelrug in a few minutes. Then the climbing of the Haarlerberg and the Noetselerberg begins. Your view over heathlands is endless. In the southern part of the park you will find coniferous forests and - very typical for this area - juniper and lingonberry. The cozy and touristy Holten is located at the foot of the famous Holterberg.

This motorhome parking is located on an active dairy farm, between the farms at the foot of the Holterberg. This is a hilly area that borders the Haarlerberg and Noetselerberg, part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. The nature reserve consists of many moors that are interspersed with forests. Beautiful walking and cycling area! A rare inhabitant of this nature reserve is the black grouse. In the Netherlands, the grouse is only found on the Holterberg and the Hoge Veluwe.
